Christmas Train - December 1, 2012

This is the day Gigi took all of us on the Christmas Train to see Santa.  We went to Johnson and back.  It was actually a pretty good length of time since we had Emmy with us.  She actually did pretty well.  I was surprised.  Here are the pictures...

 

 

 

15 Months - November 24

Emmy, Oh Emmy!!!  You are so cute!!  You make the funniest faces and looks.  It's kind of hard to get a good picture of you.  You are very strong willed and do what you want when you want and how you want. 

*  Another ear infection this month in the right ear.  You have been super whiney!!!  (And snotty)
*  Totally off the paci!!!
*  Eating very well!
*  Loves to look at the Christmas lights if we are driving at night!  You scream when you spot them.
*  Trying to say everything we ask you to...I love you has to probably be the absolute cutest thing I have ever heard!!
*  Absolutely hated sitting on Santa's lap.  Breck didn't care for it much either.
*  Seems to be liking school these days.  Noticed shapes at my school today and was wanting to know their names.  You try to sing ABC with Gigi.

 

 

Breck had his first Christmas concert this month for school.  He looked so cute and was doing so great....and then.....he saw me holding Emmy and she was waving at him.  I don't know if he thought we were leaving or what but he lost it....His show was OVER!!  He was so upset afterwards.  I think he was embarrassed.  Here are some pics.

Oh and something else that has happened while I was on Thanksgiving Break is that Breck decided he could sleep in his bed all by himself.  This has been great.  I am actually getting sleep instead of being kicked all night long.  Now (adding this on January 4, 2013) he goes to bed.  Tells me he loves me to the moon and back.  I tell him the same thing.  I shut out all lights (this is how he wants it - NO SHADOWS) and he falls asleep all by himself even.  Ya'll this is a big accomplishment.  This is the kid that would NOT sleep in his crib and was sooooo incredibly attached to his momma!!!!  So when Emmy sleeps (isn't teething, sick, or ear infection) I almost get full nights rest.  I think I am still used to getting up so I am always waking up.  I love the nights they sleep all night long.



Thanksgiving - November 22, 2012

Thanksgiving was great this year. I felt like I actually got to relax and eat a little bit more this year. Emmy and Breck loved playing with Paydon and Stella and Zayden, Ryder, and we almost missed Wylee and Wayde. We went to Nana's and then Mike and Debbie's (they came into town). We loved getting to see them. Emmy warmed up to Nanny real quick (Nanny knows she loves her some food!!!).

16 months

Emmy, oh Emmy!!!  You are a handful.  I can't determine if its you or  Breckie causing all the arguments.  You want everything Breck has and he wants everything you have.  All resulting in screaming from the whole family.  I have started a sticker chart with Breck to see if we can eliminate any of this.  You play very well if Breck is up playing on his leapfrog so its got to be jealousy.  You just had an ear infection.  You had a fever and I had to pick you up from school.  Then you seemed to feel better but now you have another runny nose and are becoming very restless at night.  I hope you're not getting another one.  Momma needs that sleep that I was getting very used to.  Breck is now sleeping in his room all night and even falling asleep on his own.  It is great.  This is a huge accomplishment for him.  You were doing great sleeping all night but for three nights you have been up and down all night long.  Here are a few things you are doing at 16 months.

* Climbing on anything you can.  Still not the couches or chairs though.  Thank goodness.
* loves running around the house with Breck.  Still runs kind of funny.  Still doesn't have all her coordination together quite yet.
* wants things her way or no way
* loves, loves, loves shoes...you are always wanting us to put shoes on you.
* loves trying to count...I'm thinking you are trying to say 1,2,3.  Three gets really high pitched.
* Loves to do Humpty Dumpty with Gigi.  Tells her to do it again.
* can point to all body parts...nose, ear, eyes, hair, head, arm, fingers, hand, toes, foot, leg, poopoo, diaper, belly button, mouth, tongue, did I forget any???? 
* She's a nose picker unfortunately.  She just laughs and laughs. 
* Mocks me when I say "No ma'am."  I try not to laugh.
* She loves to carry purses.
