Man, am I cute or what? Emmy is really talking a lot these days. It's really cute to sit there and have a conversation with her. She has started to feel a lot better these past few days. She is back to sleeping in her bassinet rather than the rock in play which is way more elevated than the crib. I have started, when I am home that is, letting her nap in her crib. We are going to have to move her to her room pretty soon because Breck is getting up at all hours of the night and it isn't a quiet ordeal. He is a disaster at night and I don't want to have her learning his horrible sleeping habits. We can probably only handle one kid that doesn't sleep!!! Breck and Emmy stayed with Gigi, Nana, and Papa this weekend for a few hours so I could go to a wedding. That was the first time Gigi has babysit them both. It was nice to get out for a while!!! I probably need to do that a lot more often! Halloween is tomorrow so I will post some pics of the kids in their Halloween costume. Breck is army man and Emmy is a candy corn....NOT A CHICKEN!!! They both look adorable in my opinion.

2 Months
Then 2 days later I had my 2 month doctor visit. At my doctor's appointment this is what they told me:
* eats 4 oz every 3-4 hours, a total of about 20-24 oz of formula total
* I have been sleeping from about 9:00 to about 4:00 even when I'm sick. I am such a good baby for Momma.
* Weigh 10 lbs 11 oz
* Had my first temperature after my shots at 99.4
* 23 inches long
* I had to get 3 shots and something awful by mouth. I screamed very dramatic like and Momma was sad because she had never really heard me scream like that.
Anyways I am growing like a weed and getting cuter every day!!!

8 weeks
Almost 2 months old. You are starting to really fill out...you love to eat!!! Sleeping is getting pretty good. It has been til about 3 or 4. One night you didn't have a bottle until 6. You didn't sleep that whole time due to congestion but I think you would have if you could have breathed. We take you to the doctor on Tuesday for your two month shots...you may need an antibiotic....stuff is starting to look green. It may be an infection. Breck is on antibiotics right now for a sinus infection. We have had some cold weather this week...record lows of 25 at night...and then Friday we were able to take a blanket outside and take some pictures (which you saw above). So this crazy weather is causing all this I think. You are such a happy little girl. However, you do like to be held. So I don't get a whole lot accomplished I don't feel like. I love the way you are starting to talk...it is out of nowhere sometimes.

Time is flying by. You are still sleeping well. This week has been pretty calm. Nothing to really brag about except you are starting to talk a little and you are starting to like your play gym a little more. Here are some pictures of this week.

Bedtime Prayer
I have been an emotional wreck the past few days for some reason. Every time I look at my babies, I tear up. I am so happy to be the mother of these two beautiful children. Tonight I teared up as I sang and rocked Miss Emersyn, which we haven't gotten to do a whole lot of, and then teared up with Breck as we said his bedtime prayer. We pretty much say the same thing every night. I always say, "Thank you for momma and dadda". I always ask who else he wants to pray for and he usually just sits there so I always add a few more people. But tonight it must have clicked because when I asked who else he wanted to pray for he said, "Emmy" (tear). Then I said, "Who else?" I was figuring on hearing Gigi, since I hear her name a lot. But no he said, "Bear" (tear). He was too sweet and I just wanted to take the time to remember this night.

Emersyn – 6 weeks
I thought having one child to love was great but now I have two and I love every minute of it. You are such a sweet, beautiful little girl. It is a little different this go round considering you were full term and not sick in the beginning. You have been such a good baby. We are actually able to enjoy our evenings and sleep at night even (except when your brother decides to wake up). Yes he still does this!! Here's what you have been up to:
- Eating 3-4 oz every 3-4 hours. You seem to be getting really antsy after your feeds like you are still hungry. I have a feeling we will be upping your bottles pretty soon. I changed you to Similac Sensitive because you were getting pretty fussy during/after your bottles and starting to spit up a lot more. You seem to be doing better on this formula.
- Size 1 diapers
- Smiling at every one that will talk you, especially, Papa, Momma, and Dadda
- Likes to look at your mobile
- Rolled over once when I think I propped you on your arms under your play gym and you just rolled right on over
- Sleeping 5-6 hours in your bassinet in our bedroom
You are doing such a great job and growing up so incredibly fast.
Emersyn’s Beginning
Man, have we been busy. Bringing home another little one and having a busy 22 month old has definitely made for some interesting days! I wouldn't change it for the world. Emersyn is definitely a blessing. She so far has shown a completely different personality than Breck! She is such a calm relaxed baby! God knew that after having Breck and going through all the things I went through with him, that I needed a good baby! Here's a little update on Miss Emersyn.
I had a completely normal pregnancy with Emmy. I let Dr. Partridge induce me at 39 weeks. After taking Makena and having my weekly shots, I just don't think she would have come on time. I was 60% effaced and 1 1/2 cm for about 3 weeks. So I just wasn't progressing and boy was I ready to get. her. out. of. me!!! I just don't do well with being pregnant. I always seem to hurt the whole pregnancy and then with the weekly shot, I was just ready to not be pregnant. So at my 39th week checkup on Tuesday, she asked when I wanted to be induced. I said, "Thursday." She would have done it but there wasn't an opening so it had to be the next day Wednesday. So needless to say I had to get home and get things in order.
Oh yes, and I didn't mention that we sold our house and just moved into Mike and Debbie's 2 days ago. The house was still not necessarily organized but I was bound and determined to have this kid.
Anyways, here's the scoop on Emmy's birthday!! We got there at 5 a.m. They gave me my epidural around 7:30. I was sick as a dog laying on my back so I had to stay on my side. At one point I asked to turn to the other side. They couldn't get the blankets and things situated so they were rolling me from side to side, (causing me to throw up!!!) but also making labor progress. Then they checked me around 11:40 and I was ready. I pushed 3 times with the nurse. They really didn't think the doctor was going to make it. She was coming very fast! But she did make it just in time to deliver Miss Emersyn at 12:06 p.m.
That's the birth in a nutshell.
Now here's what she's up to at 1 month:
* So far has been a really good baby.
* Eats 3-4 oz every 3-4 hours, bottle fed
* 8.5 lbs, 21 inches
* Trying a new bottle to see if we can eliminate some of the burpage(not a word I'm sure).
* bottle at 9:30, then bed, then wakes around 2:00 a.m. bottle, then bed til around 5. I then put your binky in and in bed with me. Then you will sleep until your cranky brother starts crying and wakes us up at 6:30 or 7:00
* pretty congested at night but nothing like Breck was. It doesn't seem to bother you at this point
* We think your smiling at us. We have seen you do it several times when we are talking to you.
* umbilical cord still has not fallen off. I took you back to the doctor twice this week to put some more medicine on there so it will dry up. I want to give you a real bath so bad I can't stand it.
You are too sweet and we can't stop holding you! You are a daddy's girl already. He puts you on his chest and you fall fast asleep. Sometimes I have to wake him up at your 2:00 feeding just so he can put you back to sleep. We love you baby girl!
